Homelake agents: terms of sale
Effective: October 22, 2026
Seller: Taylor Addison
Contact: support@homelake.app
These terms cover buying a subscription to Homelake agents (Health, Home, Pet, Money, or all of them) at homelake.app/agents. Homelake itself is free and is not sold; these terms are only about the agents' licenses. The privacy policy says what each part handles.
What you buy
A subscription for one household gives it a license: a line of text, signed by the seller, that the household's Homelake hub checks on its own computer. While the license is valid, the agents it names may act (go live); without it they run in shadow, which is free and stays free. The license covers every person in the household and every hub the household runs.
The agents run on your own computer. You provide that computer, its internet connection, and Home Assistant or anything else an agent works with. The seller does not host your data and cannot see it, except the prompts an agent sends to the store's gateway when you choose it (below).
Prices and payment
Prices are listed at homelake.app/agents in USD: per agent, $8 a month or $80 a year; all agents, $15 a month or $150 a year. Sales tax is added where it applies. The first 100 households that buy a yearly plan pay the founding price ($60 a year per agent, $110 a year for all agents) for as long as that subscription stays active; a subscription that is cancelled and bought again pays the listed price.
Payment is taken by Stripe, which keeps your email address and payment details under its own terms. A subscription renews at the end of each period at the price it was bought at, until you cancel it.
Cancelling
Cancel any time from the customer portal linked in your receipt. A cancelled subscription stays live until the end of the period already paid for; then the agents go back to shadow after 30 days of grace. Nothing on your hub is deleted.
Refunds
Within 14 days of a purchase or a renewal, write to support@homelake.app for a full refund, no questions asked. The license that purchase paid for ends when the refund is made.
Judgement through the store's gateway
A license includes the store's gateway for an agent's judgement, up to a daily number of calls (150 a day with a license, 40 a day during a 30-day trial). Over the cap, the agent waits and does less. The cap may change with notice at homelake.app/agents. Choosing your own provider instead is always allowed and needs nothing from the seller.
What agents do and do not do
Agents propose changes and, where you allow it, make them through a gate that keeps a record and an undo. They are tools, not advisers: the Health agent is for wellness and does not diagnose or treat anything, and the Money agent never moves money. Decisions stay yours.
Warranty and liability
The agents are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, the seller's total liability for anything to do with a subscription is limited to what you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law that cannot be limited.
Changes and law
A change to these terms is posted at this address with a new effective date, and applies from the next renewal. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States.
